| London Heathrow Airport ( LHR ) is one of 4 airports servicing London and is the largest of them. It covers an area of 12 square kilometres and caters for in excess of 64 million passengers a year. There are currently 4 terminals with a 5th underway. An average day will see 1300 flights from 96 airlines flying to 190 destinations in 90 countries. 68,000 people are directly employed at the airport.

1
Heathrow's Terminal 1 is the terminal for all domestic flights and
is easily the busiest terminal at the airport. Terminal 1 serves a total of 14
airlines, including, British Airways, Aer Lingus, British Midland, Icelandair
and Manx Airlines. There are separate multi level Short Stay car parks for Departures and
Arrivals at Terminal 1. The car parks are through the main airport
access tunnel and on the left as you arrive in the airport complex

2
Terminal 2 is mainly for flights to European destinations, but
some longer-haul flights also operate from this terminal. Terminal 2 serves
over 30 airlines, including Adria Airways, Cronus Air, Lufthansa, Olympic
Airways, Uzbekistan Airways and Virgin Atlantic. Short Stay Car Park 2 entrance is just past the Terminal 2 building
and is on the right hand side, follow the signs.

London Heathrow's Terminal 3 is primarily the long-haul terminal
for destinations in the US, Asia and Africa. Terminal 3 serves over 40
airlines, including Air Canada, Air Jamaica, British Airways, Cathay Pacific,
Korean Air and Singapore Airlines. The separate Arrivals and Departures buildings at Terminal 3 share Short Stay Car Park which is on the right hand side immediately before you reach the terminal. Covered walkways link the car park with both Departures and Arrivals buildings

Heathrow's Terminal 4 is mainly for British Airways long-haul and
other flights into Europe. Terminal 4 serves a total of 10 airlines, including
British Airways, British Mediterranean, Kenya Airways, KLM, Qantas and TAT. Car Park 4 is directly in front of the
terminal building and is perhaps the most convenient of all the Short
Stay car parks. Signs to the car park are easy to follow.
